Firstly, can I congratulate you both on this excellent podcast.
I listen to it every week on my commute into London.
I’m a lapsed casual gamer here in the U.K. who has been tempted (along with his now teenage daughter) back into the gaming world by the prospect of Google Stadia.
I do have a question for you both. You mentioned on the latest (John Justice) podcast about Stadia being able to pull in extra AI capability from a dedicated NPC with Google.
Now, I will admit I’m not entirely sure what this means technically.

So, does this mean that on a game like ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ you would get a more enhanced experience (due to this AI capability) compared to playing it on an X-box or PlayStation?

Mark Findorff
Will be there a function that a friend can help me in a game by getting my stream to his display and take for a limited time control of my game with his setup or something like that? So the friend sees my game on his display, I see it on my display, I give him control, he helps me out or shows me something in the game and I have the opportunity to get the control back any time I want. That would be awesome. Keep up the great work.

My only burning question: How soon could they implement ray tracing for Stadia? Since they’re using AMD chips (right?) And as far as I know AMD doesn’t support that technology yet. Stadia’s main draw in not needing to always keep up with the latest hardware, being able to play at 4K 60fps and so should have advantage over next gen consoles and even PC at that. Cyberpunk recently showcased ray tracing on PC and the game is coming on the platform. Would be a shame if it wasn’t supported at game launch as PCs would have the graphics advantage on this title. (And yes, would probably only play @30fps with RTX on but still, would be nice to experience this kind of graphic fidelity without having to purchase a $2000 computer)

I want parental control that will allow blacklisting specific games for my children regardless of rating

Hey guys fantastic stream I definitely look forward to your podcasts to get more information about stadia I was wondering if we’ll see on stadia older games from the older Generations on stadia I was also wondering if we’ll see fortnite or any free to play games on stadia thanks keep up the good work to both you guys and the stadia team

How about wearing a wireless headset? The controller has blue tooth but when will it be available for headsets and which ones will be compatible- that is my biggest concern.

Descenter1976
THANKS alot for this Show/Interview, very helpful! BUT if Stadia is going to be delayed 48 minutes and 23 seconds now I’m going to get pissed!

Chase Forth

“Has there been any early indications of how much data Stadia uses per hour internally at Google?” I know they may be hesitant to answer but it’s worth a shot 🙂

I’m the “gutsy” guy from Gamescom that you have talked about in StadiaCast 22.

First of all, I want to say thank you to you both for your Podcast. I’m a Stadia Founder since the first day (even if it doesn’t officially release in my country) and was driving to Gamescom (6h) mainly because of Stadia (I played 6 times there and got a Stadia sweater, so totally worth it). As you can see I’m really into Stadia, so I really appreciate your highly professional Podcast!

The first game I played on SNES Online was Super Mario World, as Yoshi’s Island is one of my favourite games of all time but I had never played the first game!
I was wondering if you had ever played Metal Warriors on SNES? I would love to see it on SNES Online. It feels like a platforming version of the Neo-Geo game Armoured Warriors. It would work very well for multiplayer as well.It has a really neat mechanic where the pilot can jump out of the mech and commandeer other unmanned mechs in the stages.
Finally, did you end up playing Hollow Knight? It’s an awesome Metroidvania, a bit on the hard side but I believe it gives you all the tools you need to succeed (eventually) without feeling the need to throw your control across the room.

Nintendo really wants to WOW us with Breath of the Wild 2

Yes, the sequel is currently in development. At the present time we cannot comment much about the game, but we wish to deliver new gameplay experiences that exceed the previous game to fans and users, so we will have to borrow the strength of many people to create this new title. Hence the reason why we are hiring new terrain designers at Nintendo.

I’ve been catching up on your podcast over the last few months while keeping up with the latest episodes, loving it so far.
You just said you don’t really understand how Super Kirby Clash is being monetized, so I thought I’d give a quick rundown on the game.
Think of it as an extremely simplified Monster Hunter style game. You go into battle with four Kirbys, each of which can be one of four classes. You can choose to do this solo with AI or online with other players.
The paid currency is Gem Apples, which can be earned through completing missions or purchased for cash.Gem apples plus several other materials are required to craft new weapons, helmets and consumables for each of the classes.Unlocking stages also require some Gem Apples to unlock. The game seems pretty generous at first with giving you these Gem Apples but the cost of equipment and unlocks goes up pretty quick.
The game uses an energy system similar to mobile games which will limit your play time unless you use Gem Apples to refresh.
The base game is quite fun but I can see the shine wearing off pretty quickly.

What’s up RJS!?  I have been gaming ever since Super Mario Bros on Duck Hunt and I have never been interested in ever playing an RPG.  Like you, I am a teacher and I was looking for a game to play to finish up summer.  I am patiently waiting for Grid Autosport as the next game I plan on buying.  Because I have finally been losing interest in Mario Maker, I decided to try the free demo on Dragon Quest.  It turns out I really like it and it makes my time on the elliptical fly by.  I’m fact I did an extra hour on the elliptical this morning because I was enjoying Dragon Quest so much.  I think I might plan on buying the full version of the game if Grid doesn’t get a release date soon!  Good job Square on the great demo!

Love the show. On episode 390 you talked about the cost of joycon drift repairs in the UK. I had drift issues back in April. I didn’t think about the warranty and I later realised I had bought it 13 months prior so it was out of warranty. I sent off the joycon with the freepost label and the receipt, and it was fixed – for free – in a week or two and returned to me. Either they were just being nice, they didn’t check the receipt, or I caught the first of their new joycon repair policy! Either way, I was luckier than your correspondent who was quoted £20-£30. For those in the UK, it’s worth just checking as there might be some leeway.

Hey dude been wanting to comment on doom on switch and how some of the game needs to be downloaded to play mostly the multiplayer aspect. I got that game almost day one and when I put the cart in and tried to just play story mode a message came up that said needed to download content before you can play game at which I am cool with cause i like playing games online. Even recently I was freeing up my sd card and archive some downloaded games from my switch including the 9gb from doom. After the fact When I went into play just the story stuff  recently the game told me to download content again. Anyway not really important just throwing info out there.
