About DCUO it also has to do with the fact that there is almost 10 years of dlc & that adds up to a lot of data on top of the base game.

Favorite Game boy game was probably Mario Land. Finish this game over 100 times. Now i’m feeling old too.

Hey Bill, hope you had a great vacation. Just wondering if you could give me some guidance and advice. I live in Ontario Canada and would like to go to the Nintendo store this year. One of my questions is where did you park your vehicle? Is there a parking lot near by? What hotel did you stay at and how far was it from the store? Did you Uber from the motel?. I’m sure most of these questions will be answered on your Podcast. Thank you for the great content and keep up the great work.

Hey Bill!  I have a question for you, but before i do that, just wanted to let you know that I love your show (SwitchCraft) I’ve been listening to it about 6 months or more now, and I have enjoyed every episode.
So my question to you is, I know you mentioned on one of your podcast that you’ve been playing a lot of DQB2. And I also have been loving that game so much, that I’ve pretty much just been playing that since the release. I’ve been playing in handheld mode this whole time, except for today.  I notice that it seems to run slower when docked. Not sure what FPS, but I can definitely tell that its slower then handheld.   Have you notice this as well? If so, have you heard of any updates that fix this soon?

Not much to say but just putting this out there.

I really hope at blizzcon this year they announce overwatch on the switch. I haven’t heard anything since they said “it’s a possibility” in 2017.

Hey Bill, heard you talking about 8 bitdo. I had heard nothing but wonderful things about their controllers so I bought an SF30 Pro for around $35. The D pad is horrid. Playing one of the Shantae games you have to run one direction, and then quickly switch to the other in order to activate a power, but when I switched Shantae would duck. It was super frustrating. On Tetris 99 I would be trying to move a piece left or right and it would suddenly drop costing me the game. I emailed and they offered to repair under warranty if I send it to China, which would cost around $23.

There are pockets of people complaining about this online, but so much praise out there that the complaints aren’t noticed.

Hey bill I am a fan of the show and have been listening for a while and I recently got back in to the game legend of Zelda botw and because of this I have come close to 100% but there is one thing in the game that I just can’t buy and that is the amiibo exclusivitie items but I can’t go out and spend 600 dollars on 22 amiibo to just mostly use in this game so I went on amazon and looked up botw NFC cards and I bought a pack of 22 for 40 dollars. What do you think of People like me buying this love the show and thanks for reading  ]

Mr. Bill (Oh noooo),

In light of all this controversy regarding the Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con drifting, I wanted to put in my two cents as well as reveal a larger part of the issue. So, my Joy-Cons began experiencing the drift several months ago, but was of little consequence because I primarily use the Xenoblade 2 Pro Controller. Well, as of last week, my Pro Controller has begun to experience the drift issue as well now. In my, albeit foolish, attempt to repair it, I managed to strip one of the screws. With that being said, I sympathize with Nintendo’s plight and honestly would have been okay paying the four or five dollars they were originally charging for the repairs. Being free is obviously preferable, but even a few dollars would have been better than dishing out eighty dollars for another pair of Joy-Cons. Since it seems my Pro Controller is dead in the water, I was curious if you had seen this new Pro Controller by 8bitdo, which seems promising. I have never experienced their products personally, but know their name is unanimous with quality.

The 8bitdo Pro Controller:

The condensed version of all of this is Pro Controller are beginning to experience drifting to, but from everything I have read, if you can take it apart, spray some condensed air around the base of the joysticks, and everything should be kosher.

Thank you for your great work! Long time listener and deeply appreciate your content!

I remain a humble and loyal listener,
Montague.

Hi Bill, on your show you were talking about Nintendo not censoring games and instead offering parental controls. Their parental controls are pretty anemic though.

Mario Maker 2 restricts all online interaction with parental controls, kids aren’t allowed to download levels or anything. My only choice seems to be to whitelist the game for my kids. The problem is user comments. I’m aware that some people will build inappropriate things into their levels, but that is much less common than inappropriate user comments. As a matter of fact on the very first level I downloaded there was one. I’m sure popular levels are more likely to have them.

I know comments can be turned off, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to restrict a user from turning them back on. It’s not a good situation. I couldn’t even find a way to report the comment, though I would think there must be one.

It’s a pretty sad situation when I can’t let my kids freely play Mario on their own. The internet isn’t going to change, so Nintendo should give us more granularity in the parental controls. They have a smart phone app dedicated to it, and aren’t doing much with it. I’m happy to have the choices we do on switch without censorship, but they need to give parents better tools (and folders to hide some of those game icons).
