If you want a real D pad for the Switch, and play in handheld often, buy this-Do not buy one as your main joycon. swap it out when needed-Looks cool, feels really good.
-It’s cheap and well worth the price-I’m not a reviewer or important person, just someone who loves video games.
I’ve attached a picture of the Hori Joycon on my Switch (and also a dog); I think it goes really well with the green.
Also, thank you (and your awesome wife) for the drawstring bag! I just got it today and it’s so damn cool! Looks like great quality too. I love the little pocket on the inside, always gotta have one of those.
Thanks! Love your work!
@RunJumpStomp Stuck on a purchase decision. You highly recommend MUA3 largely in part to the online multi-player. Do you think that’s because you played with @dasme specifically, a friend, or could we get the same satisfaction playing with randos? #nofriends#nintendoswitchcraft

We had originally planned for PC distribution through Steam,” Ys Net said. “In response to backers who have requested Steam keys for their rewards, we discussed offering the keys on the day of release. However, coordination with the sales policies of the involved companies was untenable, and as a result we are not able to make a day one distribution option for Steam keys available.
Epic is funding the cost of all Kickstarter refunds resulting from Shenmue III’s move to the Epic Games store, so that refunds won’t reduce Ys Net’s development funding. https://t.co/mSGdbzYPJ5
When future games go Epic-exclusive after offering crowdfunding rewards on other PC stores, we’ll either coordinate with colleagues at the other stores to ensure key availability in advance, or guarantee refunds at announcement time.
Sony sees Microsoft as its main competitor in the next generation, with Google a potential threat in the mid- to long-term as internet technology advances, one company official said.Nintendo Co. isn’t perceived as a major rival, the person said, because its main users tend to be younger than PlayStation’s core demographic.
PlayStation has been one of the most successful mass-market products of the past quarter-century; the PlayStation 4 alone is expected to pass 100 million units this year. Sony’s latest thinking puts less stress on overall sales numbers and more on the most-profitable segment of the market: the devoted fans who buy big-budget titles, such as Bethesda Softworks LLC’s “Fallout” series and Take-Two Interactive SoftwareInc.’s “Red Dead Redemption.”
A second Sony official said the company believes people buy a videogame console to play graphics-heavy games.
Sony is concentrating its attention on large software publishers as it gets ready for the next PlayStation, according to executives at Sony and software makers. In general, publishers want their games on multiple platforms to maximize sales, while console makers look to make deals for exclusive content or an initial period of exclusive sales.
Some executives at smaller game makers say they have felt snubbed by Sony, in contrast to Nintendo. At the Tokyo Game Show in September, Nintendo is supporting events to showcase independent game developers. Sony used to do the same, but isn’t planning to this year, the first Sony official said.
Sony still welcomes games from independent studios, the first Sony official said, but the emphasis is on strengthening relationships with large publishers since resources are limited. The thinking is, the official said, that people buy a console to play high-quality games available only on that platform, not smaller games also available on smartphones.
I was just listening to your episode talking about how Pokémon Sword and Shield won’t include the National Dex. Now.. I will preface this by saying that this is coming totally from someone who has never played a Pokémon game before; therefore I just don’t “get it.”
The Pokémon Company by no means has to include all of the Pokémon from previous games. However, they could take a page from Nintendo’s playbook. When Smash Ultimate was announced, Nintendo was very transparent about how turning all previous characters into assist trophies would have been too much labor.. therefore they created the Spirit Mode.
That’s pretty much my point. Should they show some creativity like their parent-company, the Pokémon Company could very well be avoiding these PR nightmares.
Cheers, and thank you for what you do. I love your network of shows.

@RunJumpStomp Maybe the reason Nintendo put an expiration on Piranha Plant codes was to discourage a secondary market for them. #NintendoSwitchCraft

@RunJumpStomp — for Cadence of Hyrule, are you playing with a long sword? The long sword attacks three adjacent squares, so you can cut through hordes of enemies like butter. Such a fun game.

Well said @RunJumpStomp, women in the gaming or any other industry should not be harassed because of their gender. Same goes for race, sexuality and any other form of discrimination. #nintendoswitchcraft

Hi Bill, on your show you were talking about Nintendo not censoring games and instead offering parental controls. Their parental controls are pretty anemic though.
Mario Maker 2 restricts all online interaction with parental controls, kids aren’t allowed to download levels or anything. My only choice seems to be to whitelist the game for my kids. The problem is user comments. I’m aware that some people will build inappropriate things into their levels, but that is much less common than inappropriate user comments. As a matter of fact on the very first level I downloaded there was one. I’m sure popular levels are more likely to have them.
I know comments can be turned off, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to restrict a user from turning them back on. It’s not a good situation. I couldn’t even find a way to report the comment, though I would think there must be one.
It’s a pretty sad situation when I can’t let my kids freely play Mario on their own. The internet isn’t going to change, so Nintendo should give us more granularity in the parental controls. They have a smart phone app dedicated to it, and aren’t doing much with it. I’m happy to have the choices we do on switch without censorship, but they need to give parents better tools (and folders to hide some of those game icons).

@RunJumpStomp Man, you are right about that Joycon D-pad. I hadn't really used it much because I got a pro controller early on, but now I'm using it for Hollow Knight, and it's wonderful.
I don't get any accidental inputs at all, also using the Joycon grip makes it even better.
